We are proud to share that three students from the Faculty of Economics at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (UMCS) had the opportunity to represent Poland and UMCS at the Blended BIP Mobility Program hosted by the University of Maia in Porto, Portugal. The program brought together students from different countries to collaborate on innovative projects, exchange knowledge, and gain hands-on experience in an international team setting. Representing UMCS were:

  • Mariem Briki– 2nd year Bachelor’s student in Business Analytics, contributing to FarmIT, a project focused on integrating technology in to agriculture to enhance efficiency and sustainability. She will be working on frontend development and developing a machine learning model to help optimize farm operations.
  • Hubert Jóżwiak– 1st year Master’s student in Business Analytics and Data Science, developing a board game for Kärntner Sparkasse Bank to promote financial literacy through interactive interface. He will take on the role of Assistant scrum master, helping with project coordination and market analysis.

The students will be working on their projects until July, tackling business cases, technical development, and market research. Their work will culminate in a final report and presentation, where they will show case their findings and proposed solutions. These projects are carried out under the scientific supervision of Anna Tatarczak, ensuring that the students’ work is guided by academic expertise and aligned with the university’s research goals.

We are proud of our students for their dedication, innovation, and commitment to representing UMCS on an international stage.
