How to Apply

ADMISSIONS TEAM

Thank you for considering Maria Curie Sklodowska University in Lublin. We are thrilled at the prospect of having you join our academic community. To help guide you through the application process, we’ve outlined the key steps in the sections below. After reviewing this information, we encourage you to watch our instructional video for a complete walkthrough of the application procedure.

APPLICATION PROCESS

a) Create an account on the online recruitment platform.
b) Complete the online application form with accurate and up-to-date information.
c) Upload all required documents as a single PDF file.

RECQUIRED DOCUMENTS

For Bachelor’s Degree Applicants:
1. After creating your account, fill in all the required fields in the application portal. Prepare and upload the following documents as one combined PDF file:

a)Nostrification or Recognition Certificate
b) Bio page of your passport
c) Original high school diploma + copies with legalization (must include apostille or legalization) along with official translations, If documents are not in English or Polish, a certified translation is required.

d)Transcripts from the last two semesters
e) Proof of language proficiency (View information on language Proficiency tab) 
f)Candidate Profile Form: Complete all required fields in the online portal, download the generated profile (via the IRK system), Print it, enter the date, and sign it by hand

For Master’s Degree Applicants:

2. After creating your account, fill in all the required fields in the application portal. Prepare and upload the following documents as one combined PDF file
a) Academic Documents: Original Bachelor’s degree certificate and transcript of records, International applicants must submit apostilled or legalized copies.
b) If documents are not in English or Polish, a certified translation is required
c) Eligibility Statement: A formal statement confirming your eligibility to pursue further studies
d) Proof of English Language Proficiency
e) Submit a recognized English language certificate (see the list of accepted certificates), or contact the admissions team to schedule an interview
f) Passport Bio Page: A clear scan showing all personal details
g) Application Fee Confirmation: Proof of payment of the application fee
h) Candidate Profile Form: Complete all required fields in the online portal, download the generated profile (via the IRK system), Print it, enter the date, and sign it by hand

FEES

a) Application fee is 85 Pln and 150 Pln for MA Graphic Arts payable in the recruitment portal. The 150 PLN registration fee is specific to Master’s in Graphic Arts applicants for evaluating artistic skills.

b) Tuition fees, visit tab for tuition fees to view programme cost. ie Applicant can pay with a discount on early bird discount. Applicant must pay one semester or for the full year past early bird discount period.

APPLICATION STATUS

After paying the application fee, email the admissions team with the following information:
b) Subject line: Your full name, program name, and IRK number.
b) Email body: Attach proof of payment and formally request the start of your application processing.
c) Once you’ve received a response from the admissions officer, continue the conversation in the same email thread. This helps maintain a clear and complete history of communication between the applicant and admissions team.

RECOGNITION CERTIFICATE/ NOSTRIFICATION

Authority Responsible for Certificate Recognition – If a foreign school certificate or document is not automatically recognized by law for admission to first-cycle or long-cycle study programs in Poland, it must go through a formal recognition process. The competent authority for this process is the Education Superintendent (Kurator Oświaty), who has jurisdiction:

  1. Over the applicant’s place of residence in Poland, or
  2. Over the institution’s registered office where the applicant intends to submit the document, if the applicant does not reside in Poland.

However, recognition is not required if the certificate was issued by: 
a) Schools within the education systems of EU, OECD, or EFTA member countries, granting access to higher education in those countries. 
b) International Baccalaureate (IB) diplomas issued by the International Baccalaureate Organization (Geneva).
c) European Baccalaureate (EB) diplomas issued by European Schools under the Luxembourg Convention (21 June 1994). 
d) Countries with which Poland has current bilateral agreements on education recognition — currently: China and Ukraine. 

NB- The bilateral agreement with Belarus expired on 3 November 2023. As a result, documents issued in Belarus must now be officially recognized through an administrative decision by the Education Superintendent.

QUALIFICATIONS

Program-Specific Admission Requirements

Each program has its own specific qualification requirements consult with programme page. In some cases, admission criteria may be based on the requirements for the same program in the country where your diploma was issued. To ensure eligibility, please consult with the admissions officer to confirm whether your high school or undergraduate results qualify you to apply for:

  • a Bachelor’s degree (first-cycle), or
  • a Master’s degree (second-cycle) program.

Note: Maria Curie Sklodowska University in Lublin reserves the right to conduct interviews as part of the final admission process. Prior notice will be given for interview slots.
