Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (UMCS) offers a range of study programs in English. To ensure academic success, it is essential that applicants possess a sufficient level of English proficiency, as all examinations and coursework are conducted in English.

UMCS accepts standardized language proficiency tests as proof of English command. However, certain applicants may qualify for exemptions by meeting specific criteria. For both EU and international students, we recognize qualifications from various countries, as well as a wide range of international certifications and tests.

Applicants may be exempted from language requirements for their chosen program by fulfilling one or more of the following options:
A) Completion of an undergraduate program fully taught in English, accompanied by a formal letter from the university confirming the medium of instruction and examination.
B) Participation in an interview with UMCS staff to assess English proficiency. (To take part in this option, please follow the guidelines provided in the “How to Apply” tab.)
C) Submission of an internationally recognized certificate from a standardized English proficiency test.
