IT Cyber Security is a program for those who wish to combine knowledge of computer science with knowledge of political science and administration.
The knowledge related to political science and administration includes:
1) the place of cybersecurity in the contemporary understanding of security;
2) the complexity of security threats in cyberspace;
3) diversity of areas of activities to ensure security in cyberspace, taking into account political science, but also legal, economic and sociological approaches.
Knowledge related to computer science includes:
1) The principles of operation of the operating system, its tasks and weaknesses;
2) basic programming structures and rules of designing programming scripts;
3) functioning of web applications and knowledge about the basic weaknesses of web applications;
4) principles of operation of computer networks and, weaknesses of protocols and mechanisms operating in all layers of the OSI model;
5) principles and best practices for safe web application programming;
6) principles of operation of cryptographic modules and the manner of their application in IT Systems;
7) the process of performing penetration tests and ability to describe each stage;
8) standards for information security management.
Computer science skills include:
1) efficient performance of tasks in the Linux operating system; 2) designing a simple algorithm and creating its implementation using Python;
3) conducting security tests for Web applications based on the OWASP standard;
4) analyzing the weaknesses of the computer network and applying a security mechanism to protect against potential attacks;
5) finding security bugs in web applications and applying corrections to eliminate them;
6) performance of the required analysis regarding the application of cryptographic methods and the use of appropriate cryptographic modules;
7) performing all stages of penetration testing;
8) creating process documentation of the IT system and conducting a risk analysis of such a system
- Admission is open to both Polish citizens and international students. NB: Polish and EU citizens as well as other candidates following the regulations pertaining to Polish citizens can study free of charge within the set limit of available places. There are 2 places offered without the tuition fee for such candidates. Furthermore, admission will be granted on a “first come, first served” basis until available vacancies have been filled.
- The programme is offered on I TUITION FEE-PAYING BASIS I – I TERMS OF ADMISSION HEREI to candidates holding a bachelor degree or any other equivalent degree which entitles them to undertake the Master’s degree programme in the country where the documents were issued.

- Registration is open within the admission period and until all the available vacancies are filled.
- If Academic documents are not issued in English or Polish, a certified Polish translation is required. Visit the database of recognized sworn translators in Poland HERE.
- An official Individual Recognition certificate issued by a competent Polish state authority is required for documents issued outside of the territory of Poland – NB- Contact the Admissions office for guidance on applicability of this requirement.
- The required registration fee payment is PLN 85. Please check the instructions on how to make a payment in the system.

1) Create an account in the recruitment portal and fill in the required fields,
2) Scan and attach each document listed below separately into the recruitment portal – PERSONAL FORMS -> EDUCATION (Each document Must be PDF Format not more than 3MBs;
- Academic documents: High school and Bachelor degree original certificates with transcript of records (Bachelor degree + transcript + supplement should be appended with Apostille for countries signatory to HCCH AGREEMENT or legalized copies for international students) along with the eligibility statement. If the documents are issued in a different language other than English/Polish we require a translation.
- Language proficiency certificate demonstrating the applicant’s English language expertise (REFER TO THE LIST OF RECOGNIZED CERTIFICATES)
- Passport bio page with clear details.
- Confirmation of payment for the APPLICATION FEE (mandatory).
- Candidate Profile Form:
– Complete the required fields in the portal,
– Download the candidate profile generated by the IRK application system,
– Print, fill in date, handwritten signature by the applicant.
3) Upload a recent passport size photograph with white background in the designated photo tab in the recruitment portal.
