The program welcomes applications from both national and international students and offers scholarship opportunities. Upon completion of the master’s program, graduates will possess fundamental theoretical knowledge and skills in pure and applied chemistry, with a specialization in materials chemistry. This expertise equips them to adeptly address chemical challenges, even in non-standard situations
The programme is addressed to candidates holding a Bachelor degree or any other equivalent degree in the similar field of studies and offered on a fee-paying basis. Prospective students register online in the Online Registration System and file all the necessary documents within the deadline or until all the places available have been filled.
Graduates are prepared for roles in the chemical industry, related sectors, state and municipal administration, and are also qualified for educational positions upon completion of a teaching specialty. Additionally, they should be ready to undertake research endeavours and pursue further education in Ph.D. studies.

- Admission is open to both Polish citizens and international students.
- The computation of average grades from studies for the bachelor’s degree or combination of bachelor and master degree.
The qualification procedure will be based on Graduates from all fields of studies, where they have covered at least 330 hours of basic and major subjects including Mathematics – 30, Physics – 20, Chemistry 280. The Admission Board determines whether the specific content of undergraduate degree courses meets the admission requirements of our master’s programme. - The programme is offered on a tuition-fee paying basis (TERMS OF ADMISSION HERE) to candidates holding a bachelor degree or any other equivalent degree which entitles them to undertake the Master’s degree programme in the country where the documents were issued.
- A candidate must submit a complete set of application documents (visit Application Procedure Tab above ⭡), including the certificate proving the applicant’s English language skills (list of recognized certificates: https://rekrutacja.umcs.pl/en/language-proficiency-certifications/ ) or a document confirming that the Education was fully conducted in English (issued by the school/University) and/or based on an interview in English.
- Registration is open within the admission period or until all the vacancies are filled.
- Academic documents should be translated into Polish. Visit database of recognized sworn translators in Poland HERE.

The required registration fee payment is PLN 85. Please check the instructions on how to make a payment in the system.

1) Create an account and fill in the required fields,
2) Scan and combine the following application documents into a single PDF file;
- Academic documents: Bachelor degree original certificates with transcript of records (Apostille or legalized copies for international students) along with the eligibility statement. If the documents are issued in a different language other than English/Polish we require a translation.
- Certificate demonstrating the applicant’s English language proficiency (Refer to the list of recognized certificates) or contact the admissions team to schedule an interview.
- Passport bio page with clear details.
- Confirmation of payment for the APPLICATION FEE (mandatory)
- General medical certificate affirming the candidate’s good health,
- Candidate Profile Form:
– Complete the required fields in the portal,
– Download the candidate profile generated by the IRK application system,
– Print, fill in date, handwritten signature by the applicant.
3) Upload the consolidated PDF file (Documents mentioned above) into the application portal.
